4 – US Government

 

The US Government has regulation in place for States who do not decide to write their own regulations regarding Labor and Insurance.  They also are responsible for managing the Sovereign Indian Nations.

 

5 - State Regulation

 

States such as Florida have set up departments and special regulation for PEO’s in addition to their Insurance and Labor laws. 

 

The payroll of more than 40% of the companies in Florida are managed by PEO’s.

 

CA has no special regulation and the Department of Insurance considers PEO’s companies with large Deductible Workers’ Compensation Insurance Policies.

 

Self-Insured PEO’s will be covered under the CADOIR and Labor Codes 3700-3706 which can be found on the website link below
